“Security and development are interrelated,” said Jalal Sadatian, ”Security has economic, political, and cultural aspects, each of which have a different effect on the country's overall security.”
He urged officials to appropriately respond to the people's demands in the cultural and social spheres, thus decreasing dissatisfaction among the youth and university students.
Noting some members of society have no economic security while others feel culturally insecure, he pointed out that a proper response to the recent protests could boost overall security.
“People should make their demands within the framework of the law and within well defined limits.”
He added that officials should sincerely show that they have heard the people's message and will be responsive to it.
